Our young people

It’s great that families can worship together. We welcome families, and we seek to make it as easy and comfortable as possible for families to join us on Sundays. The whole church worships together for the first part of each meeting prior to children and young people moving to their own groups.
Periodically we have ‘All-Age-Worship’ when we intentionally seek to offer a service relevant to all ages.

Beacon operates a robust Safeguarding Policy (which covers vulnerable adults as well as children). All those working with children and young people have completed Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks. (Previously CRB)

We seek to run at least one Youth Alpha Course each year.

Our Sunday groups

For the first part of our Sunday worship, a Creche area is provided at the rear of the worship area. If necessary, staff will take babies and younger children to another room in the Civic Centre during the course of our meeting.

Sunday school

4-11 year olds with age appropriate Bible teaching, crafts and games run by a team of committed helpers.
